Jay-Z Denies Rape Allegation, Accuses Lawyer of Extortion
Rapper Jay-Z has vehemently denied a rape allegation made against him by a woman who previously sued Sean “Diddy”
Rapper Jay-Z has vehemently denied a rape allegation made against him by a woman who previously sued Sean “Diddy” Combs. The woman amended her lawsuit to include Jay-Z, claiming he participated in the alleged assault at a 2000 MTV Video Music Awards after-party.
Jay-Z, in a statement, labeled the allegations “idiotic” and “heinous.” He also revealed that he had anonymously sued the woman’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee, alleging attempted extortion through the threat of publicizing the rape claim unless a legal settlement was reached.
Buzbee, who represents numerous accusers against Combs, denied the extortion allegations, stating that his letter merely sought confidential mediation. He expressed pride in the woman’s resolve and criticized Jay-Z’s attempts to bully and harass her.
The new allegation against Jay-Z comes amid a wave of sexual assault lawsuits filed against Combs.
Both Jay-Z and Combs have denied the accusations. Sources and related content
